Thanks for the Lawnchair tip, I will check it out too. My 40H has worked like clockwork, not a single issue. Only oddity is no Glonass GPS support as per specifications, however it does pick up the Japanese QZSS constellation which does orbit over Australia. I did update the firmware this week and no issues there either. I am blown away by the performance / value of this tablet. They just get better and better and you start to question the way higher price of the bigger brands.

Solved my own problem by installing the Microsoft Launcher which works a treat if you are looking for a no nonsense simple launcher. Highly recommended: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.launcher

GPS specifications for the 40H appear incorrect on the Alldocube website: http://www.alldocube.com/en/parm/iplay40h-parm/ “Location: GPS/Beidou/Galileo/Glonass” GPS Test app and database report: GPS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jXtRCoEnnFNWj6_oFlVWflsf-b0jkfZpyhN-BXsv7uo/edit#gid=0 The 40H has NO Glonass support.

GPS specifications for 40/40H/40 Pro show GPS/Beidou/Galileo/Glonass. I am in Australia but my 40H GPS Test app shows no Glonass satellites at all. Can any other user confirm support for Glonass ? (I do however receive the Japanese QZSS satellites which orbit Australia).

Thanks for the advise, and you are right. It was dead flat and came good after a +15 hour charge. The charger was warm which was an encouraging sign. I won’t let it go dead flat again.
