Home Page › Forums › General Discussion › No HEVC 10 Bit hardware decoding support on iplay30 pro
Hi folks,
the GPU used in the iplay30 pro is able to decode hevc 10 bit videos, it is the very same gpu used in the odroid n2 for instance. I tried different movie players which I KNOW that they can (and do) decode hevc 10 bit videos via GPU, but hevc 10 bit is decoded by software/cpu on the Iplay30 pro, the result: the video is unwatchable.
Tested the videos on a friend’s tablet with the same Mali GPU, hevc 10 bit is hardware decoded there. So i guess, some kind of driver is missing on iplay30 pro, right?
