Alldocube iWork GT 12 is a 2-in-1 tablet featuring a seventh-generation AMD Ryzen 7520U processor, available at a significantly lower price compared to similar devices from Huawei and Surface.

This year, my business trips have become more frequent, and carrying a laptop can often be cumbersome. My requirements for a device were quite simple: the ability to work with data tables on the go or upon arrival, and most importantly – lightweight and portability. Initially, I was considering the Surface 9, but I found that its price was beyond my budget and that of the average user. Then, my attention turned to the Huawei MateBook E, which seemed suitable until I stumbled upon a new release from Alldocube – a 2-in-1 tablet computer, priced at one and a half times less than the Huawei and five times less than the Surface.

iWork GT 12 is positioned as a versatile and portable device for modern “nomads.” The internal hardware, including the processor, RAM, graphics card, and storage, is balanced to fully meet my daily needs both at work and outside.

The Alldocube brand has rightfully earned the trust of users, and I am no exception. Over the past few years, I have used several products from this company and have always been satisfied with their quality. However, one of the main factors that attracted me to Alldocube iWork GT 12 was its affordability. The iWork GT 12 model is equipped with a seventh-generation AMD Ryzen R5-7520U processor, a 2.2K display, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB storage, all available for just over $600, including the keyboard and magnetic mount. To me, this represents an excellent price-to-quality ratio.

The Alldocube iWork GT 12’s chassis is made of aluminum, measuring just 11 mm in thickness and weighing only 915 grams. This is significantly more compact and lighter than conventional 14- and 16-inch laptops, making it the perfect companion for those constantly on the move.

iWork GT 12 positions itself as the ideal solution for individuals who are always on the move and need a versatile and portable computing device. With its sleek and lightweight design, it’s a practical choice for travelers, professionals, and anyone seeking a balance between performance and portability.

The device’s 12.6-inch screen boasts a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, narrow bezels, excellent viewing angles, and vibrant color reproduction, making it a superb choice for presenting data to clients or enjoying multimedia content.

As a 2-in-1 device, the touchscreen adds a new dimension to interaction, and when combined with Windows 11 and the magnetic keyboard, it becomes a powerful productivity tool. The magnetic attachment also provides excellent device protection. Notably, the keyboard draws power through the Pogo Pin, eliminating the need for separate charging, which is highly convenient.

The keyboard’s design resembles that of Apple, featuring slim keys and a short keystroke, while the touchpad supports various gestures such as two-finger zoom and vertical scrolling, making it reminiscent of a traditional laptop. Moreover, the touchscreen supports multi-touch input, allowing for efficient interaction with documents and spreadsheets using fingers or a stylus in conjunction with the keyboard.

With the magnetic keyboard, Alldocube iWork GT 12 transforms into a true workhorse. Despite its slim profile, the device provides USB-C, USB 3.0, an SD card slot, and an audio output, ensuring convenient connectivity for flash drives, mice, network adapters, and other external devices.

Regarding its hardware, the Alldocube iWork GT 12 is equipped with a seventh-generation AMD R5-7520U processor boasting four cores and eight threads. Manufactured using 6nm technology and featuring RDNA2 architecture, it reaches a maximum clock speed of 4.3 GHz. While its core and thread count is average for mobile processors, its high clock speed, low power consumption, and integrated graphics make it an excellent choice for both work tasks and standby mode.

Performance testing using the LuDaShi program yielded a score of 520,000 points, comparable to most modern ultrabooks. Given that most users of such devices prioritize work and study over gaming, this level of performance is quite acceptable.

In the CrystalDisk test, sequential read and write speeds reached 1787 MB/s and 1698 MB/s, respectively, while random 4K read and write speeds were 55 MB/s and 147 MB/s, demonstrating the solid performance of the PCI Express SSD.

Cinebench R20 results were 420 points for single-threaded and 1627 points for multi-threaded performance.

The integrated Radeon 610M graphics, built on a 5nm process, features 128 stream processors, 2MB of L2 cache, and utilizes shared system memory. Its theoretical performance reaches 563.2 gigaflops with a maximum power consumption of 15W. In the gaming test using League of Legends, which isn’t particularly demanding in terms of graphics, the device easily maintains over 70 frames per second at medium settings, providing a smooth gaming experience.

Even the older but still popular game Dungeon & Fighter runs smoothly at high settings, with nearly silent fans and a cool chassis, which is entirely acceptable.

When it comes to the operating system, the Alldocube iWork GT 12 comes pre-installed with Windows 11. As mentioned earlier, Windows 11 supports various Android applications, making this device closely resemble a tablet.

In the era of short clips, many users require video editing in high resolution. When using video editing software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop, the Alldocube iWork GT 12 runs very smoothly and steadily. Additionally, with the HandBrake program, you can quickly compress video files. The device also supports wireless display via Wi-Fi Display for convenient screen sharing with colleagues and friends.

The Alldocube iWork GT 12 features built-in front and rear cameras, 5 megapixels and 8 megapixels, respectively, making it highly convenient for video conferences and video calls. The internal battery allows for approximately 8 hours of use on a single charge, and its 45W fast charging ensures that the device quickly returns to work.

After several days of using the Alldocube iWork GT 12 2-in-1, it has exceeded my expectations. Considering its cost, which is comparable to the price of most ultrabooks with similar processors, and its excellent screen quality, this tablet-laptop is an outstanding choice for those seeking an affordable and highly portable solution with excellent performance.
